So far, the Sony (2021 Bravia) Google TV has been lame AF. Basically every television program or movie I search for is listed as only available on Google Play, even when it is available on several of the streaming services I subscribe to. Am I taking crazy pills? Why is it so fragmented?

Where do you live ? Could be related to that, just an idea.

Other than that, how is the picture quality?

I think you have to enable to apps to be searchable with Google TV... I recall doing this on mine after setup.

Google TV is just not that good. It's like a cute idea but mostly unnecessary and only slightly useful. I've already replaced it with a 3rd party launcher.

First of all, it could be a country issue.

Second, is the your streaming services added to Google TV? You can check them in settings> accounts & sign in> your services

Third, Go to settings> google assistant> searchable apps & check your streaming apps are enabled or not.
