Amazon Fire Cube or Mecool KM2?

by xxxboner

Missed out on the Amazon Fire Cube when it was £60 recently as couldn't decide between that or the Mecool KM 2. If Amazon drop their price again then the price is comparable to the KM2. Don't mind the "ads" on Amazon or the OS but not a fan of the remote, KM2 has Android TV but coming from China, the warranty will be limited.

Has anyone tried both and how do they compare with each other?

Cheers

Are you kidding? That's like comparing a Volvo to a Dacia.

Slowly replacing my Fire Devices. I had a Fire Cube on our main TV. Replaced it with the Chromecast with Google TV. No more issues with buffering. I then replaced my bedroom TV Firestick Lite version with an Onn TV Andriod box. It is so much faster than the Firestick was. Got it on sale for $20. Set it up and ran it side by side with the Chromecast and it was surprisingly just as fast. So there's my two cents worth.

Shield or apple tv > fire or xiaomi mi box > mecool (and other chinese boxes).

What TV you have?

FireTV Cube is the best deal in streaming, and has been for awhile, especially when it's on sale.

The Mecool KM2 is certified AndroidTV, but in my opinion overpriced; if you got the KM2 for £50 with tax and shipping included then it might be a good deal.
