Xiaomi Mibox 3 Not Switching on After System Update

Hello,

I need some assistance with my Xiaomi Mibox 3...
After last week's system update it is not switching on anymore...

Fault finding so far,

  • Red light at back audio port is on - so it's getting power
  • Checked on my router - it's not connecting to my WIFI network
  • Powered off for 15 mins, powered on for 15 mins - made no difference
  • Tried every button on remote including "OK & Back" for recovery mode
  • Mibox does not switch on (no picture) and front white light does not come on

My Mi Box S failed to boot after this update. The white light flashed permanently. I have updated both the Mi Box S and the Mi Box 3 several times in the past without incident so I was unpleasantly surprised.

I bought a chromecast with google tv to replace the Mi Box and I am very pleased.
