Hello, I have a question. My neighbor (apartment) has an Android TV, and now whenever I'm home, there's a notification on my android phone saying "shared controls: waipu.tv - Android TV", and it gives me the options to pause, skip forward, and skip back.
I can disable the notifications from google play services, but I'm more worried about the connectivity than the notification. I don't want to accidentally connect to, or screenshare my phone to this tv. Does anyone know of a way to block these connections from other people's devices to my phone? Thank you!
The only way this happens is if you are sharing wifi, and then sharing wifi controls.
In other words, either your neighbor has their TV on your wifi, or you are on theirs. Sharing these controls requires being on the same wifi.
