I just want to watch Ted Lasso but every episode I have to uninstall and reinstall the app. Resetting the settings doesn't even work. The video gives no sound sometimes, sometimes the app crashes, etc.

I just recently tried out AppleTV. Works fine on my Samsung Smart TV (Tizen), but I have a couple of JBL Link Bars running Android TV (Android 9.0) and the app would not work. Symptoms were a black square with the Apple logo not disappearing and remaining "on top" of other pages. Trying to play titles gave me a generic "cannot play"/"connection error" nonsense.
Play Store reviews indicated that this is a widespread issue going back to October. I had to sideload version 3.0 found via APK Mirror. Works fine for me now. I think the v.4 versions are just buggy. Your mileage may vary though as I did have one title fail to properly play; there was sound, but no picture. Otherwise stable and good so far.
