Stupid noob question but I have been trying google for hours with no clear answer.... Using Phillips OLED806 Smart Android TV and loaded KODI on it.
Would it be possible to hook up Dolby headphones through the HDMI EARC or at least HDMI ARC and have surround sound out of it when playing movies from KODI on the Android TV itself you think? Looking at buying an expensive headset like the JVC EXOFIELD and want to be sure.
P.S. Yes I live in a noisy environment so a headset is needed not a soundbar :(
I'm using soundbar over HDMI ARC so might not be exactly the same. There's audio output option in menu and then HDMI sound (not sure how it's called in english as I have menu in polish; anyway it's second option there). After that all audio (Kodi, Netflix, Amazon etc) goes to soundbar
