Hey! I have a Xiaomi Mi Box S and I've noticed that if I don't restart it every few days it starts getting slow and unresponsive. Is there an app (paid or free) that can let me schedule automatic restarts? Sideloading is also not a problem for me.

Have you gone into the developer settings and set the maximum number of background apps to 2 from "default?" I found that this kept my player from being sluggish and I really only use 2 apps anyway.
Create a routine in the Google Home app to turn off the device at a specific time and turn it back on after a few minutes/hrs
Use a smart plug.
You should be able to schedule a restart with Tasker, either as a System restart or adb reboot command.
