Hi everyone, I am a complete child in this arena, so excuse any dumb questions (probably all of them haha)
So i just got a Mecool KM2 (my first android box) and from my understanding, it has a HDMI 2.1 port. I also have some video files on a USB drive (mostly .mkv and .mp4 files) that are 4K in resolution. I can use the YouTube app to watch some videos in 4K 60Hz which looks great on my tv, but my usb files don't have that same buttery smooth motion. My tv is capable of 4K 120Hz.
These are my questions:
- Is it possible to get the USB video to display on my TV at 4K on 60Hz or 120Hz?
- If so, how?
- Does the video file itself need to be shot at 60 or 120 fps (i think the file I have now is 24fps, but not entirely sure)
- Do I need to download a certain app for the store to do something like that or can i change something in the KM2's settings?
Thank you to anyone and everyone in advance for helping me thru this. I might have more questions as the conversation unfolds
Your 4k media should be using USB 3 drive and connected to the USB 3 port on your box. I don't think the FPS matters.
