Google TV exploring fitness, smart home control, and other new features for 2022

If they are serious about adding features, they need to update and improve the hardware. The comically low on-board storage on the CCwGTV is a significant barrier to them being able to implement new features well and the processor is also an issue as evidenced by the occasional 8-10 second delay in the interface loading if you haven't used the Chromecast in a bit.

I applaud Google trying to make the platform better (even if I won't use any of the features personally), but all I really want is a Chromecast that has a more powerful chip and more on-board storage. I'm not saying Google needs to stick a Tensor chip in the thing or come up with a competitor to the Shield, but honestly the hamster wheel chips used in Roku's devices feel smoother than the Chromecast a lot of days.
