Can you point me to a few android boxes with hardware auto refresh rate switching support?

I know shield supports it fully, any alternatives?

Shield doesn't fully support it. It has a beta test feature called "match tv framerate".

I found this because my Samsung TV showed flickers in netflix and prime on some 4k heavy motion scenes. The feature doesn't always work, same with their AI upscaling, but its also not totally useless.

The main alternatives are "AppleTV" HD & 4K and "FireTV" Cube & Sticks, which all support Auto-Refresh-Rate switching; also known as Auto-Frame-Rate(AFR) matching.

Official AndroidTV devices/boxes are lacking Auto-Refresh-Rate, excluding Nvidia and Xiaomi for making AFR switching at least work for the Kodi and Plex apps.

The app "tvQuickActions" made for AndroidTV devices has a working AFR feature that only works with a few apps like ViMu Media Player on Amlogic powered devices. A good app to purchase if already own an Amlogic AndroidTV device, look for the app in the Play Store.

But, if you're looking instead for unofficial/non-certified devices then premium devices from Dune-HD and Zidoo have the AFR feature, and the non-certified boxes from Ugoos have AFR settings added to their firmwares.

Mi Boxes & Mi TV Stick supports it...but they're not "alternative" to the shield
