So basically I found it on the side of the street for hard rubbish and thought it would be great to use, I cannot buy a tv because I’m homeless and have no money, and it would be a shame if it couldn’t be fixed
If you can afford it, get a Onn box or stick at Walmart or an equivalent Android TV streaming stick/device. Completely ignore the stock interface.
Can you install another launcher like ATV?

Unfortunatly you need a soniq compatible tv remote to press home and get into the tv part

luckily i think kmart universal remotes do work on these tv's but haven't tested
I've been following all the forum post's for years to find a way to make it go straight into the tv part and un this version of this tv unfortunately you need to have the TV launcher installed, i can not for the life of me get it installed. if you can get that installed then using an autostart app like others have will let you make it go straight into the tv/hdmi full screen'd
