onn box 4k no dolby digital?

Samsung tv I'm using gives me the option for dolby digital when using apps from the built in interface.

I bought an onn box as I prefer android tv to tizen but when I watch things through this the dolby digital option is grey'd out. I only have the option for PCM or DTS Neo 2:5

Everywhere I read says the onn box supports dolby digital. Any idea what the issue is here?

GO to Sound>Select Formats and set that to Manual first. Then you can only enable what the TV is reporting to the Onn that it will be able to use. Mine shows Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus and AAC. I have no option for PCM or anything else.

If you're just using the TV's built in speakers, the lack of Dolby Digital sound isn't going make a difference in sound quality, so don't worry about it.

I'm going by memory here but go into settings, sound and for audio passthrough change to manual and enable the formats you want
