Is there any way I can control my grandmother's android tv from my house?

She loves the HBO / Showtime / etc.. programming, but she's 92 - as savvy and amazing as she is, it's a lot to expect her to understand moving in and out of apps, use search, subscribe, etc...

Are there good methods / apps where from my house in another county, I can control her android tv. She doesn't have the hardware yet if that matters.

Maybe try Teamviewer host. I used it to unattended control my wallmounted Android Tablet.

See if this helps you out at all. It's a program called Vysor. I think you can only run it from an actual computer though to connect & control their TV.

If you're looking for a mobile solution the only one I've found is this . It's a program called AnyDesk. At one time you had full control over someone else's TV but that option has since been removed. You can still use it to see everything that's on their end of the screen though. The only thing you can still physically control from your end is a bubble mouse pointer so you can at least point someone in the right direction.

I've used AnyDesk to help out a bunch of friends and co-workers. It works pretty great. You just have to walk them through what buttons to actually hit since you can't do it yourself anymore.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help with setup.

Set a universal IR remote with google/alexa, set rules/routines to your apps/channels and that's all
