I have a Sony Bravia x800h and every time I’m on the home screen or apps screen and press the OK/select button it’ll act as if I’m long pressing and bring up the context menu instead of just tapping and opening the app. I can then select open and the app will open fine. Button works fine elsewhere inside of apps. Only affecting home screen and apps screen.
Could be an issue in accessability settings. Go to home, settings, device preferences, accessability and and have a look. Sometimes an app (like teamviewer or anydesk) asks for permission for accessability and it screws up the menu.
