The holy grail in media players, supports the following (Nvidia Shield does most of this).
Automatic framerate and resolution switching (Android 12 is supposed to support this function).
HD audio passthrough, such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD MA, as well as Dolby Atmos.
Support all the Video codecs like VC-1 (No Amlogic supports that video codec).
Support Dolby Vision.
Gigabit Ethernet port, and USB 3 port and HDMI 2.1.
A decent remote like the new Google reference designed remotes. I hate the older Nvidia Shield's remote.
Same remote as the Onn walmart box, which is nice. It's the G10 model made available to many manufacturers: https://www.twelectronics.co.uk/g10-g20
Hopefully the TV portion uses a chip as good as the Onn or better, and hopefully USB-C, or even two USB-C.
hope it comes with 16gb storage space and not 8gb.
Walmart has entered the chat.
pretty sure thas the same one that's been out for a good while now... n yes Walmart is accurate. unless that's an old pic n ure talking about a newer device.
I have a dynalink and really like the remote. But my remote doesn't look like that. I also have the newer Google version of their android dongle and prefer the dynalink remote over it as well.
Have they paid Dolby for the licence...?..
I don't have a good feeling about this. I have been looking forward to any updates, and it looks like they removed this product from "coming soon" or at least I can't find it.
If this one doesnt have USB-C, I am going to be shocked. 2022 should be the year Micro USB dies for good.
All I want is a Google certified box sold in the USA with 4 ports:
Is that too much to ask for? I'd easily pay more for that. Why isn't that a thing?
