I am wondering if this would work? The Docking station has Power Delivery over USB-C which would solve the need for an external power source for Mi TV Stick (1st edition) but I would have to use USB-C to MicroUSB adapter to connect it directly to the TV Stick.
My main doubts are:
- Will it provide power delivery (this Stick only needs like 1A @ 5V, so 5W is nothing demanding)
- Will it have the full dock functionality (since MicroUSB is working at much lower speeds approx. 480 Mbs compared to USB-C @ 5Gbps). I am not planning to connect all the hubs but would like to test one of USB-A for remote control/keypad and Ethernet (even though it is limited to 100 Mbps, it would be enough and the connection would be much more stable than WiFi 5Ghz signal)
Don't want to advertise but this is the type of USB-C dock that I had in mind.
USB-C PD for sure does not work over Micro USB. It is USB-C only.
