Google tv app missing remote

I have a tcl google tv and I downloaded the Google tv app on my phone and the floating remote does not show in the app, both are connected with the same network

Update these apps on your Google TV:

  1. Android Remote Service (v 5.0 or higher)
  2. Gboard v (11.0 or higher)

You update through Google Play on your Google TV (not phone).

I can't believe that Google makes us manually go in and update individual items to get their crappy apps to work. Anyway this fixed it for mem
