Does your tv have usb3 port? If only usb2 available, you won't get much more speed than wifi 5ghz
USB ethernet can be hit or miss with Android tvs. it might be best to contact customer support and see if they're supported.
What is your TV model and OS version?
Your TV likely needs to be on at least Android TV 10.0 to support an external USB network device. Sony's Android TV's didn't support external network adapters until Android TV 10.0, I'd imagine this would be the same for Philips devices as well.
If your TV is already on ATV10.0 then any Realtek RTL8153 USB network adapter should work.
I prefer to run over ethernet instead of a wireless. It's just too unreliable for my taste.
