TCL TV and external hard drive?

Hi there, fine folks.

I've got a TCL 65e17NUS amd a 5TB Seagate hard drive. Whenever I plug it in, it comes up with "corrupted Seagate drive" even though the hard drive is 100% fine. Tried the same thing with a 2TB drive and it worked fine.

Is 5TB too large for this TV? I'm having difficulty finding any clear information online.

Try different cables. I've had issues with Seagate drives and trying different cables sometimes does the trick. Also what format are you using. Is the 2TB a different format like EXFAT and the 5TB NTSF or Mac journaled?

Plug drive again and restart the tv & check. If still not working then format the drive in tv as a internal memory.

You need to have a powered hub to plug it into if it doesn't have it's own power supply
