I'd rather the volume work properly on my Home devices again.
I especially like the typing feature. Typing with a d pad is a pain in the ass.
I got this working already on my mibox , it's great (although it's exactly what the old app used to do and the time when I was unable to use my phone for this was pretty annoying)
Something great about it though is that the keyboard input is not broken. Unlike the old remote app (backspace would cause severe issues)
Still not appearing for me, hate these kind of rollouts

Great, just got a Sony X90J and have had a hard time finding a good remote app which works with the TV (Its running Google TV) and don't cost $9.99.
This is something I miss about my old TCL 6 Roku TV.
why not the Google TV app as well???
I guess "over the next few days" means "not quite yet". I just loaded the app onto my iPhone and tested it with my new Philips 55PUS7406 - it finds the TV but can only control the volume level. Annoying because every other method I've tried to get the TV to talk with some sort of remote other than the IR remote that came with it has failed - Android TV failed, the Philips remote app failed, and my Harmony hub can only send the most basic of commands (it can't even select an input).

So they're bringing back a feature which already existed and they deliberately broke? Bundled with another app so that now you have to go through 2 more taps to just get to the remote?
