Would like to buy an Android TV box for VPN

So, I've purchased a Samsung TV (QN85) with tizen OS. I live in eastern Europe and need VPN to use Disney+. I'm thinking about getting an android box. My question is: is there another easier way to get VPN for the TV (I already have surfshark). If the TV box is a good idea, will the TV boxes specs affect the TV? E.g., TV box doesn't have 4K support, will I not be able to watch content in 4k if I am using only the VPN from the TV box?

Pretty much a noob when it comes to TVs. My first smart TV. :/

Well first thing, it would be to check if tizen os support your vpn.

If not, yes the android box is good idea. But dont take anything is label a android box. You need one who passed google security clearance to be able to use all apps in 4k.

Here a few suggestions :

If money is not a issue get à Nvidia shield

If you're on a budget the CCWGTV , ONN 4K TV Box, MI TV stick 4K are affordable options who passes google drm security.

There other optons just be sure to get one who is certified by google or you're will be disappointed .

According to Surfshark's FAQ , their Smart DNS will still allow you to access other region's streaming libraries, so you may want to give that a shot before you go spend money you don't need to.

I will say, personally, I'm a little skeptical. I've never heard of DNS switching changing streaming libraries before, but I guess if it works, it works.

I haven't got Disney+ to work with a VPN outside of the USA. I visited family in Mexico and I used nord VPN and the Disney + app wouldn't load. I gave up pretty quickly so there might be a correct way through settings but make sure you can do it first. I know a lot of apps have gotten pretty good at no letting u use it with a VPN.

I'm almost certain surfshark allows you to set up Smart DNS on tizen. Would that work? If so they have the steps on their site.
