I have recently upgraded to an Atmos setup and I also upgraded my Tidal to play Atmos content and for some reason Master quality and Atmos wont play. It says "Your Device Is Not Able To Play This Item" for Master quality content and says "Playing in Stereo, This Device is not capable of playing Dolby Atmos content" when I try to play Atmos content. I have the Chromecast with Google TV plugged directly to my Sony receiver, I figured it my fix the problem instead of having it plugged in the TV and going trough eArc, but same problem. Any ideas on how to fix or is it a Google TV or Tidal Thing?
Tidal will only show you what formats are supported by the device it's connected to.
I have this happen with the HDMI sync box in the loop. You may have to manually assign formats instead of auto.
Do you have Atmos in other apps?
