My parents have a 2019 Sony Android TV with youview. Since the start of the year itv hub hasn't worked, and weve just found out youview have removed it from some of their devices but they say Sony TVs are unaffected. The TV is up to date according to the software update in settings.
Has anyone encountered this and worked around it? We have a Philips Android TV with Freeview play that still works fine with ITV

Do you use the YouView part of it? My mum also has a Sony Android TV with YouView (no dish connected as uses Virgin) and at least one of the catch-up apps will only work with a dish connected, I think it was 5OD.
Chromecasting from the app on a phone or tablet works but not ideal for some people. Last time I looked into it it seemed you could fix it by manually downloading the app via an APK on a USB stick.
