I have more details about expanded PiP mode in the source article linked by Android Police.
I enabled the expanded PiP feature and tried to force an expanded PiP window on my device to no avail. If any app developer out there wants to try it out, hit me up!
Why even bother about Android Tv 13? We cannot upgrade to v12 yet, and HDr10+ or DoVi is not part of Android TV, but subject to the firmware.
I love android TV, and have the Shield 2017, but the lack of uniform update in the Android space is concerning

The Shield only received Android 11 a few months ago and so far it's had a lot of problems so I'm not holding my breath in regards to having Android 13 on it anytime soon.
