Need help: Issues in Google OS - TCLR646

  1. after running 'quick speedup' through 'safety guard', each time, Netflix auto launches and never gets exit, unless I force exit thru Apps or On/Off TV.

  2. aspect ratio doesn't work well either 'Auto Detect' from 'Screen setting' is ON/OFF, have to toggle off, On then Off, it switches to 2.40:1, same thing happens in Kodi and default TCL media player while playing content from External HDD or streaming thru Netflix. in netflix I never been able to watch full screen content without black bars, whatever settings I tweak and regardless of appropriate content being played.

  3. In dev mode, everytime I limit bg process to 1, and then upon rechecking its back to default value.

I tried to uninstall/reninstall Netflix but problems remain same as not related to NF but the system.

Anybody experiencing this? Any assistance would be highly appreciated. Thanks

The 1st and 2nd issue sound like firmware issue since last year. Maybe try doing a reset and avoid using the 'Safety Guard' app. The 3rd issue is normal if you reboot the TV, the limit background process will reset to default.

Since your issue is more to Brand specific, might ask at r/tcltvs. Hopefully, you'll get better response from other r646 owner.
