Hello, i have just bought my first ever smart tv (Philips PUS7906 4k) with android tv. Even though the tv is advertised with disney +, it says that the app is no longer compatible with my tv. How do i get around this? What else that is widely used is not supported?

Did you try sideloading it?
Save yourself all the frustration and get fire stick or a android tv box. You will open a new universe of viewing possibilities
Are you in a country that Disney+ doesn't support? If so sideloading the app won't help as it probably won't be able to access their servers.
I'd advise that you try updating the TV's firmware first - in my experience that's usually the culprit.
Unfortunately, if that doesn't fix it, side loading the official APK won't do you much good. I've never had good luck side loading apps that have a subscription component; it might be some kind of copy protection under the hood.
Adding a streaming device, like an Nvidia shield or Fire stick 4k would certainly provide a pathway to the content you want.
