I have had the same issue with my Sony Bravia. I read someone else’s comment that it might be related to the app for Paramount +. I deleted that app for a few weeks and didn’t have the problem.

This happens to me with my Xiaomi TV, I had to enable the developer settings and turn off wake on lan and wake on wlan

Same issue, we fixed it by disabling mobile power control (I think that's the setting but it was a few months ago so I'm not sure what one it was)

Turn off the HDMI CEC setting, I can't remember what Sony calls it. It allows HDMI-connected devices to turn on or off your tv.

Eg. Turning on your playstation will also turn on the tv.

is it connected to Google home? Or you can try disable wake on Lan. I have seen this settings somewhere in my Bravia.

Do you have any bluetooth devices trying to pair to it?

I've had this issue a couple of times with a Philips TV. I'm curious if someone knows the cause.

Do you have anything like a PC hooked up to it? I had this issue as well and figured out my steam link keyboard was getting stepped on by the cat and that would turn on the TV.

I remember hearing that this happened to some people when I was shopping around and doing research. Thank goodness it doesn’t happen to me. I don’t remember reading that there was a fix, though.

My TCL TV does this too. I'll be in the room, nobody else, and it just turns on. Usually within a few days of this happening the TV's done an update so I assume it's just being pinged for the software download.

It's probably turning on to do updates and shit, my shield turns my TV on all the time.

Been having the same problem the last few days. Different brand TV (Hisense) and I don't have any of the apps people mentioned here so it's not that. I've had this happen in the past and it typically stops after a few days. I'm guessing it's something to do with a recent system update.

I hate to break it to you but your TV's possessed.

Something attached to it is sending a Power On command through HDMI-CEC.

I have the same problem with my Sony android ag8. Sometimes I turn it off and it restarts itself & comes back on. It’s been happening ever since the latest update. It’s so fu@king annoying, especially before bed.

Might help or not, but I have a Philips Android TV and it turns on at night randomly. In my case I think it has something to do with Amazon Prime. When I'm not using this app it doesn't seem to turn on by itself. So my guess - check if you use Amazon Prime because it might have something to do with it.
