Can I not disconnect my BT headphones without unpairing on the Mi Box S?

by xenonforlife

I successfully paired, connected and used my Jabra 75ts with the Mi Box S and when I was done I wanted to disconnect it, but there is no option in the bluetooth menu on the Mi Box S to do so, I can either “Change Name” or “Unpair”. This is pretty dumb imo since I have to unpair and then pair my headphones again and again whenever I want to use them on the TV. There was another post on this last year, but there was no solution or workaround mentioned in that post unfortunately !

I just turn off my JBL headset and when i turn it on it auto reconnect.

My JBL will switch automatically between my phone and Shield. It depends on what device is playing audio

Pretty much, the only workaround is if your headphone can connect to multiple devices simultaneously. Which isn't really a workaround tbh since bt headphones usually have a limit on the number of simultaneous connections.

You can. You turn them off by placing them back into their case. They will disconnect when turned off. Then when you turn them on, they will reconnect if near the Mi Box S. That way you wouldn't have unpaired them from the Mi Box S.

I have a TiVo Stream 4k, and have had a number of android boxes. All of them assume if you have the headset powered on, then that's what you want your audio to go. Nope, you can't disconnect from it with the headset powered on.
