Verizon StreamTV blanking when used with a widescreen monitor: help?

by griffjon

I just got a new V2 replacement for my V1 stream tv (which worked with this same setup). The V2 works fine with a normal TV, and it will flash its home screen up on the monitor (an LG with a built in soundbar) -- but then immediately freak out and stop sending a signal (the LED will go from white to red, signalling a connection problem). Again, the V1 worked on this monitor, and the V2 (its cables, etc.) work on other TVs.

While running it on the normal TV, I ran updates and enabled adb. Running adb logcat while going through the above, I get this:

I was initially worried that the 21:9 ratio of the screen was throwing this off, but setting res via adb seemed to (during a brief flash of the screen) set that and look "right", so now I'm worried it's some annoying HDMI/HDCP issue?

Any experience working through this with these or other android tv based devices with similar fun times? Thanks.

Try a different HDMI cable ...if u haven't already .

Could it be a signal sync issue ? I was putting some very old videos on to DVD ,the PVR box had problems syncing video . I got my DVR and routed the video signal from the VCR to PVR ,out via HDMI .

Saw something on Videohelp.com about video sync and PVR . Worth looking on the site 👍
