I don't own an Onn but I have zero drops with the CCwGTV. 4K 60 plays smooth.

Before getting rid of the Mi Box have you tried Smartubenext?

I have several mibox S and the newer 4k sticks. None of them stutter or drop frames on any YouTube or other video upto 4k. Furthermore, they don't 'slow down with age'. I've rarely had an issue with any of them that a reboot didn't resolve.

Most of the issues I see people posting about them usually tracks back to using obscure, potentially malware-ridden apps, or similar. Don't blame the device.

I use various streaming apps (legit & not), realdebrid w/ 4k links, YouTube premium. It all works FINE.

Make sure the onn is up to date both apps & android OS. You have to know I bought the Onn box as an upgrade from the MI box s. Onn has android TV 10 and the security patch is from February (I think). I also would recommend the Onn box not the stick since most sticks are limited in what can be done. Plus at $20 the Onn is a steal!

I own an onn and I have no trouble running YouTube videos. They work very smoothly. Your internet connection usually defines the speed. I also run videos from an external hard drive w/ and otg cable. I did find that ssd drives don't want to work sometimes.

I have all three devices you mentioned. I also don’t get frame drops on YouTube using the native and smartyoutubetv apps on any of the three. I prefer the Onn remote over the CCwGTV but the Onn chrome cast built in doesn’t work well on the Onn device, audio lags video. CCwGTV updates LESS frequently than the Onn or MiBox S and doesn’t play some of my older video formats on Plex. tl:dr each device has pluses and minuses
