APP not installed

TV: Sony X900H Android 10

had an issue with an app that I have recently installed by APK, so I had to uninstall it.

now that I have downloaded and try to install the APK again it just gives me "App not installed" error right about the 90% progress, I have tried downloading the apk from other sources but it's the same.

Do you have "verify apps" unchecked and "unknown sources" allowed in the security and restrictions settings? Or maybe there is something left over from the other install. Maybe poke around with a file explorer app?

Also check available storage, my Google TV says app not installed when it means "there's not enough space", which would be more helpful.

Did you ever work this out? I'm trying to install an app but no matter how I go about it, it won't install. Someone below mentioned unchecking Verify Apps, but it isn't an option.
