How new? A 2020 Bravia is faster than a CCwGTV or basically any other $50 device. Are you sure you didn't break it?
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K is a good Android TV device with newer hardware and software plus better codec support. It can be purchased for about $50 USD on AliExpress.
Fire stick Max ....with Downloader App.
If you are doing a lot on it then get the Nvidia. If not then just get a Chromecast. I would recommend the fire stick but it comes with sooo much amazon bull**** that it's not worth it.
The Nvidia is considered to be the best but is the most expensive. TV boxes are the best way to go. I've used the MI box 3 s and enjoyed it but I'm using the Walmart Onn box. It's only $20 and runs quite well.
Well my Sony Bravia 4K TV is about 5 years old now and honestly it’s smart features still work fine. Maybe not as fast as my Nvidia Shield Pro but nothing that would annoy or irritate. So I am not sure how old is your TV because unless it’s much older it should still be working fine. Maybe you need to do a reset or check the apps or a hard disk you may have attached.
I was looking for a middle way between the Mibox 4K and the Nvidia Shield. The lack of ethernet irritated me on the Mibox but the Shield was way to pricey for me.
Settled on the Nokia Mediastreamer 8000 for around $ 90 I believe and it works like a charm
I've had many devices from chromecast with google tv mecool xiaomi etc to test
I only buy shield pros nowadays. They're worth every penny for me.
Amazon Firestick 4K Max side loaded with Kodi 19.4 and the Ezra addon with a Real-Debrid subscription will give you all the TV Series and Movies you want without breaking the bank. Oh ya and Ezra is super fast!
I have a firestick 4k+,and Roku 4k+. The firestick sucks. The volume is LOW and Amazon has started blocking simple updates like changing the Hulu button to Yttv. A firestick decent feature is it will pick Yttv from where ever I left off hours after it was shut off.
Cheap - WalMart Onn 4K $20
Mid-range - Chromecast with Google TV $40
Top end - Nvidia Shield - $150 or $200 depending on which one you get.
I honestly prefer the Onn to the Chromecast as I have both, but the quality of the Onn device does seem to be hit or miss (I even had a bad one). Easy to return if there is a problem though. Assuming you live near a WalMart that has one in stock. If not then go Chromecast for cheap.
