launcher recommendations

by t-niggs

I'm sick of the banner ads on my Google tv so having watched tech doctor's YouTube tutorial I'm considering installing a 3rd party launcher. Any recommendations??

There are only 3 actively updated.

Sideload Channel Launcher 3 is paid and by far the most configurable. It lacks a true column mode if you like that style.

FLauncher is FOSS and has categories and background support but otherwise simple in a good way.

And someone else already linked Leanback of Fire which is an updated version of Google's old launcher (v1, I believe; Google TV is v3). It's not on the play store.

All the rest of the launchers you will find are abandoned.

Someone also posted a dock like app in the last few days, but that's not really a full launcher, I don't think.

I am trying out Ugoos for a while and I like the simplicity. You might also consider adding a pi-hole to your network
