As the title says I just got it out of the box.
I put the batteries in the remote but it does not work. Does not turn on. I cannot pair it with the Mi box nor set up the box itself.
What do I do?

Did you try puting newer batteries?
Bluetooth remotes are nice but they can become a pain in the ass sometimes
