I bought and returned a cheap Samsung TV running Tizen yesterday as it was terrible slow. Streaming apps struggled to load videos, resulting in a black screen.
Are there any inexpensive Android TV's (max 300$) that's not terrible slow at navigating menus and loading video streams? Anyone tried the Xiaomi MI 4A 32 inch or the Xiaomi P1 32 inch?
Don't get a smart TV.
Get a "dumb" tv -- essentially a monitor -- and hook it up with a box or stick.
Instead of returning the Samsung tv, I would've just spend 20$ for an Onn box that you can just hook up to the TV but since you've returned it, I'd get a non-smart tv and that Onn box.

I've gotten a few TV's in that size from best buy and Amazon. They have FireTV built in, which sucks, so I got Google tvs for them for the kid profile part and they've been great.
I think I paid $150 for each tv and $50 for the Chromecast with Google tv.
Buy a 20$ onn tv box with any other tv. It's great

I have one of these. Good picture works well.
If u live in the US, Walmart has a good number of 32 inch TVs between $120-$200 either running Android TV or Roku. For ex. a 32 inch ONN or TCL are $124 running Roku. If u wanna add the ONN Box for $20 u end up with $144+tax. Not bad imo and now u have both Android Tv and Roku.

Just set up a TCL 32 inch Roku TV, seems as fast as any other non 4k Roku.
Search Android tv on Walmart. Got a Hisense 40 inch for 288.00 There's a tlc 32 inch for 230.00
Cheap 'dumb' TV, with an Android box connected to HDMI might also work? Mi or Shield will be quick.
