WiFi not working on one TV but working on the other! (Chromecast with Google TV)

by JaimeAzorAhai

Hi, This is really weird! WiFi was working for months and stopped yesterday on Samsung TV ( JS9000 ) but when tried the same device on my LG C1 TV it worked!

Samsung TV apps are connecting properly, and nVidia shield is connecting properly too on Samsung TV.

So I guess it's not the Samsung TV problem

And not the chromecast problem too? As it worked on my other LG TV!

I reset Chromecast to factory settings with no luck!

P.S. I tried connecting to other router and WiFi line and it didn't connect too!

I'm so confused! Any help?

Thanks

It's highly likely that your router is not connecting your TVs properly. Try reseting the router, cheking connections and settings. Actually I'm changing my device to fix a similar trouble.

If you're using 5Ghz, check the channel. Some devices don't support channels with DFS. Try something around 46.

Check on Wikipedia, it depends on your country frequency allocation https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels

Thank you for your help I really appreciate it. It's connecting now after resetting the router (although I tried it with another router with separate phone line and had the same problem) Maybe it was a temporary block by our ISP that controls the whole country's internet and they usually mess things up like blocking apple servers sometimes and we use VPN to even update the software!
