Android TV Home Global Search Microphone Icon Disabled?

by Yilsev

Hello, I just bought a TCL 43P615 Android TV. Everything works just fine but there is a disabled microphone icon on the top left of home screen. Android global search thing I suppose.

Btw Google assistant and any other speech recognition functions work without issues.

I checked microphone permissions, I even forced to allow any non-related apps or system apps just to see if it'll turn enabled, but didn't work.

I have 2 Philips The One Series android TV and few months ago I bought another TCL P725 series for my dad. None of them has this issue. I even reset TV and reinstall everything just to see if I missed anything.

Does anyone have experienced something like this and solved?

There might be a physical on/off button for the mic on the back of the TV's bottom right corner.

The problem is something about localization I guess. Because after I changed the system language from English(US) to Turkish that disabled mic. icon gone. But after few mins disabled mic icon appears again.

At first I guessed if it is about conflict between system language and input language which was Turkish. I changed them all the same, tried both English(US) and Turkish. The problem persists.

Interestingly when I changed system language from English to Turkish, icon disappears for few minutes, but when I changed from Turkish to English icon still stands.

I checked my other android tv's settings (philips the one series). They are already configured english system language and turkish input language with gboard, which I already tested with this TCL TV. But I have to mention that TCL has Android 11 and Philips TVs are Android 9.

Theese are the updated results after several tests.
