Most people recommend Blokada but it doesn't block youtube ads.
I don't want to install a cracked version of youtube (it's just inconvenient that you can't use your account). I'm just looking for a good ad blocker.

I just installed this APK last night. I wouldn't install it anywhere else but from GitHub. Seems to work pretty well on my Xiaomi box.
I just got a Sony Bravia with Google tv. I'd be interested in this too. I tried purpledns but it crashes when I choose a dns, so I uninstalled it. Blockada doesn't show up in the search results for me.
SmartTubeNext , which has things like Adblocking, SponsorBlock and tons of more features compared to strict officialYT apps on Apple TV and the default Android YT app.
No rooting or anything required. And it installs seperately to the official YT app, doesnt conflict with eachother.
And of course you can use your YT account with it.
To download and sideload (install without using the Google PlayStore) you can use the simple app "Downloader" which itself is on the PlayStore. Or you can grab the .apk for app from your computer and put it on a thumbdrive or network share etc. and access it through a filemanager app. "X-plore Filemanager" is popular and is good to use with a remotecontrol, the free version is often enough.
