I recently discovered an easy fix for the stuttering issues I had been facing on my Chromecast

All I needed to do is simply switch the dns servers to Cloudflare dns (by default it is set to Google's own dns).

The difference seems to be night and day after switching to cloudflare compared to before — when the thumbnails seemed to reload every time I navigated between rows and the navigation experience in general was maddening to the point that I was contemplating getting an Apple TV

I figure it has to do with some kind of issue fetching metadata while on google dns (?)

Steps: Settings > Network and Internet > (Select your wifi network) > IP Settings > Static > (leave IP Address, Gateway & Network Prefix length as is) > (Use the following dns entries)

• DNS 1: 1.1.1.1
• DNS 2: 1.0.0.1
