My VLC media player glitches whenever I watch movies

So I have a 4K tv yet the video glitches in the vlc media player.

By glitch I mean, the video stops playing while audio keeps playing.

I am troubleshooting this problem in my tv is by going back to home and then visiting the vlc app to continue where I left off. But this problem happens a lot, so is this App being buggy or is it some setting issue?

By the way, I downloaded the vlc app from the playstore.

I haven't found any reason not to use Kodi for basically everything, myself. Even for just playing files directly off a thumb drive, it's my favorite.

try plex is the best player for android tv, it use exoplayer same system player used by VOD app.
