Firetv app never worked as it's a shortcut only.
Android phone app doesn't work anymore.
I have All4 on my Philips android tv app
The specific apps exist because those manufacturers funded them.
You want a more generic app you'd need to get some funding, ultimately.
Kinda confused, I just installed it from the Play store on my Philips OLED Android TV...
It's one solution. Why restrict your options
You can sideload the Fire TV app to your Android TV, so this isn't necessary. Fire TV apps are Android apps.

I wrote "I use the Chromecast with Google TV device, which runs on Android TV. There is no All4 app available for this device. However, there is an app for Fire TV and Sony TVs running Android TV, which is the same software base. I'm requesting that this app be added to the Google Play store so that it can be made widely available to Android TV devices. I am already aware the I can cast from my phone, but when the other public service broadcasters BBC, ITV and Channel 5 have Android TV compatible apps, it should be a priority that All4 is also made available.
