Why do you want a browser on TV?
Save your time and money. I have 3 Mi boxes (1OG 2S's) they are crap.
Mibox S is stupidly slow for a relatively recent device. If you are looking for something cheap, go for the Onn box 4k thingy from Walmart if you can. Smooth as butter compared to the Mibox S I use in a different room.
terrible but that's just how it is on a TV device. They are not built for browsing. That being said if you just have a couple of sites you go to and aren't looking for a full browser experience you can get by. You can even sideload Chrome and pair Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
I have used the jio page web browser and it worked pretty well. It's optimised for low end hardware so it works great ,its available on Google Play store also you can check it out here Jio Page Web Browser
I find Opera to be one of, if not the best, browser to use. You get an almost desktop like experience minus plugins off course.
I have tested most of the browsers listing on the Play store on my Mi Box S and in my opinion the best free browser that works best is TV Bro. Puffin also works well but it only gives you a trial version and then you need to pay for it so I am sticking with TV Bro.
Mi Box S is pretty underpowered to browse modern web. it will be painful experience.
