Hi, I have a new Hitachi Android TV which mostly seems pretty good. One very strange feature is that when it comes to the picture settings, setting them isn't universal across all the inputs - changing the settings for any of the following does not also change it for the others:
- watching via inbuilt TV tuner
- watching via any of the HDMIs (eg PVR)
- The home Android page and going into any of its apps
As I turn down the backlight/brightness setting every night as I turn down/off the lights (which helps being able to get to sleep by avoiding bright lights near bedtime) it means if I'm to watch a few different inputs then I have to keep going into the settings and turning down each one individually (after being blinded by the very bright setting it had been previously set to) which is a bit of a pain. There is no option for the settings to be applied universally, the same isn't the case for say the sound settings which seem apply to all inputs when they are changed.
I've just had a look at a manual for a JVC Android TV and the settings page looks the same on it too, with the following note 'The following table show all the available picture setting adjustment on your TV. Not all of these setting apply to all Inputs'.
Does anyone know if this is the same with all Android TVs? Thanks. //edit I just noticed that a Panasonic Android TV has the same remote as mine - is this also the case across all Android TVs?
This is very common for modern TV's, doesnt really have much to do with Android TV only.
