Can xiaomi android box be connected to the internet by ethernet cable?

I want to buy it so I can watch movies on my old tv, but the wifi signal is really weak in my room, so I'm completely unsure about it

Do you mean the Mi Box S? Then yes you can. I use the UGREEN USB 3.0 network + 3 port hub adapter with mine. Anything with the AX88179 chipset should be compatible.
