Possible to factory reset an Android box remotely?

by EinsteinTheory

I travel around with an Onn Android box. Because of this, its possible for me to lose it or have it stolen. In that case, is it possible to remote factory reset my Android box? i want it to log out of all my sign in account.

Can I put a password on it so that every time it boots up, it will require a password?

You lose your Android TV box just logon to your Google account and revoke access to that device. You can do the same for your streaming accounts. What are you worried about? Do you check your Gmail on it? LOL

I haven’t used it but maybe check out this App, it’s called “Blocky TV” it’s on the Playstore and free.

Load "Find my device" from google on the TV box. From there you should be able to wipe the box remotely. I'm not sure if it's in the play store, so you may have to sideload it. This app should be loaded on all of your Android devices in my opinion.

Another thing you can do is go into your account under settings and remove the account while you're traveling. The box will still work but will require re-authentication to do much of anything*. This depends on the box, it may or may not work on yours, so try it.

You Can load "Find my Device" from the Google App store. I believe that will have wipe capability even on a TV box.
