I've got MX Player on a non-tech-savvy family member's Android TV (Hisense H9G), and updating the custom codec for that app is a huge pain and might as well be like piloting an actual UFO for them lol
Is it possible to just disable automatic updates for a single app, or would automatic updates have to be turned off for ALL Play Store apps?
Hmm...maybe give your parents some credit...teach them how to troubleshoot and configure it themselves... I'm nearly 68 and regularly reflash ANDROID TV and Google tv on my TCL tv and a shield pro...or maybe I'm just special...although my missus says I'm not...lol.
Yeah you have to have auto updates on or off for the Play Store. Would updating MX player wipeout the codec files or something. I thought adding codecs was part of it's appeal.
The only thing you could do is install a modded MX Player version that doesn't check for updates.
Hi.. You cannot turn off for individual apps unfortunately, it has to be for all Playstore apps. I generally keep them Off and update manually when such situations arise.
