"Port hub" as in USB hub?

FaberfoX

Sure, I use a 3 port + ethernet hub on my MiBox, and a 2 port + ethernet + PD on my CCwGTV

make sure u get a good one. external power n USB 3.0 anything else if possible n finding one that will b compatible can b slightly challenging but not impossible.

Absolutely. All the Android TV devices I've set up I set up with a port hub. A port hub is the most no-brainer best-bang-for-the-buck upgrade you can make to any Android TV device.

Yeah.. I realised hubs are crucial. I was so close to buying used mi box at a really good price. It just had a faulty port. But otherwise working fine. Would have been a total waste to buy it because the 8gb storage is really poor.

I would say spend the money on a branded hub. Don't go for the cheapest $5 on amazon. Because mine is a bit hollow and cheap and feels like it will crack open

Yes, But ensure the USB Hub is having 3.0 ports (If external power option is available then that's preferred).

I use iBall Piano 430 4 Port USB hub.
