Can't cast things from a website using my phone or pc to android tv, it used to work last year, already tried cleaning the chromecast data and factory reseting the device.

Reset chromecast, make sure you are on the same SSID

use google home app from phone and use chrome browser from ur pc

Some formats cannot be chromecast. Certain MKV files with HEVC and or VP9 or other formats. Do your homework there.

Try on a Shield or other high powered device.

Have you tried the app Web Video Caster? It works well for me as some sites don't show the cast button so you can share the URL to the app.
