Is a $19.99 device , i don't think is in anyone priority list.
The Chromecast hasn't been updated yet. From what I have heard updates may be difficult due to space constraints
You can install custom Lineage OS ROM on your Onn UHD if you really want Android 12
But I use different devices with different Android versions and I can assure you that Android 11-12 works worse than Android 9-10. At least on an Amlogic processor (which was used on onn UHD)
I tested the Xiaomi Stick 4K, Mecool KD2, custom Android 11-12 for Onn UHD
And what is also important, no new features and functions, except for auto frame rate, which not everyone needs
There is no reason for it since its getting security updates.
Probably never going to happen for a device this cheap. Would be nice to get 11 but don't count on it. If you want Onn. to give you 11, contact Walmart directly and tell them you want it. You can also flash Lineage OS on it from XDA if you think you need it.
Most of us are just going to enjoy the box until it dies on us or Onn. sells another cheap 4K box years from now.
eight of one, half a dozen of another. 10, 11, 12, 13 aren't drastically different from one another on a tv box.
same same, but different, but still same.

OP keep dreaming
Nothing wrong with wanting it but it's not a crucial improvement. It's not going to introduce any new capabilities outside of possibly auto refresh rate switching that are user facing. I'm not against it by any means.
Why? I find updates tend to break things. Just give me a working version and don't mess with it lol. If it lasts 2 years another $20 is well deserved for an updated device
Picture in picture is supported in 13 which is more than enough reason to upgrade. But I agree it probably will never happen.
Who really cares? Why does it matter? It's a streaming box, not a phone! This comment was written on an Android 6 phone and it's still working great.
