Best box available in germany

Hi!

I am currently running a pretty old Android (6.0.1) Box from china. The box sometimes doesn't boot so I am looking for something new.

What is the best box, that is currently available (not for preorder or something like that)? Would be great if i could buy it with shipping from germany. I don't really want to wait for an import while my daily driver is half broken.

needed features:

  • Ethernet

  • Netflix/Prime Video/Disney Plus

  • Future proof (I'd rather pay more for a device that will be supported for a longer time)

  • I do like privacy, so I'd rather not buy Amazon/Google Products and also not have Google Assistant

  • a good way to get surround audio

Any recommendations?

If you want it to be future proof, make sure it handles the new free video codec AV1. It's already in use by YouTube and Netflix.

The Nvidia Shield TV (Tubular 2019 version) goes for as little as €88 Germany on amazon, it is the exact same as the 2017 version except for the shape.

Geekbuying Germany Warehouse has the Mecool Google TV certified boxes, and all are good with a code you can get one for €52ish.

The Chromecast with Google TV is €39.99 online and is by far the best priced (No USB or Ethernet).

Nvidia Shield is best if you plan on doing gaming with it, all the others are worth getting and every penny too if you don't want to pay the extra for gaming, bar sometimes the Mecool boxes are overpriced on amazon or geekbuying.

All play 4K, have licences to play Netflix, Amazon etc. (streaming services).

Outside those prices mentioned... is up to you.
